Cashtal yn Ard

Cashtal yn Ard (castle of the heights) is a well-preserved chambered tomb with views over the parish of Maughold and across the sea to the Lake District. Chambered tombs like this began to be built more than 4,000 years ago, as communities pooled their resources to create lasting monuments to their dead.
